We really enjoyed Sandy McCallum’s presentation. She comes across as sincere and even a little modest about her incredible stamina and mental determination. Very few of us would want to trade places with Sandy. The lesson we took away from her story is that you can pull yourself through the most difficult of endeavors if you keep the end in mind.

I admire Sandy’s dogged persistence in pursuing her incredibly ambitious goals. Her presentation was engaging and inspiring. While I don’t ever intend to race an ultra, she reinforced a lot of good pointers about setting and achieving goals that work for me too.

With all of the experience I have in racing, it was still fascinating to learn some of Sandy’s secrets in regards to achieving peak performance. Sandy’s stories about the desert were riveting. It is always inspiring to hear about the trials and tribulations of another athlete, and derive strength and knowledge from her successes and failures.
She is frank, down-to-earth and incredibly tough. I will always remember her Mantra… Fynd A Way. No matter how tough it gets, love the battle. Live in the moment, take one step at a time, and remember that as long as there is hope it is never over till it’s over.

Fascinating talk. Way beyond anything I could ever comprehend doing and her mental and physical toughness are amazing.

Just wanted to tell you that YOUR TALK WAS THE BEST of all the presentations I attended.
I was deeply inspired by your story and the pictures were fantastic. I was so impressed with the strength of your “inner character”. You helped me question some of my own beliefs and I’ve decided to make some changes in my own thinking as a result of your talk.
I keep talking about your presentation to those I meet. You definitely inspire others by living out your passion.
With sincere gratitude for being so inspiring and causing me to make some internal thought changes, THANK YOU
